We believe in building our community and family. This is why we believe being a part of a lifegroup is so important. Lifegroups meet in different ways, time and places so anyone can be a part of one.

Lifegroups meet year-round and are easy to be a part of. If you are interested in signing up, please click below.

Financial Freedom

Throughout history, the Jewish people have been displaced, attacked, and without their own nation until 1948. Even with everything they’ve been through they are known no matter where they are as some of the most prosperous people. Through scripture we see that God placed a specific blessing upon his people as they, stayed true to relationship with him and lived out the biblical principles that would make them so influential and successful. It has always been part of God’s plan for those who represent him to be prosperous as that prosperity points back to his goodness.

We believe Christ’s followers are the fulfillment of God’s chosen people and that we have access to same inheritance. In this final section we want to look at the financial principles God laid out for his people in the Bible and how they translate to our lives today. This will allow us to honor God fully with all of our lives including our finances as well as take advantage of every blessing he has for us.

Boundaries

Any parent can tell you, there are certain things that you want your child to do one day that might not be the best thing for them when they are younger. A good parent establishes healthy boundaries in their child’s life to teach them control, consistency, and protect them from things they are not ready for.  God places boundaries in our lives for the same reason. They are naturally occurring on our time, body and our finances. One of the first steps to healthy financial freedom in Gods kingdom is to understand and respect the boundaries that God has put on your budget.

Americans are some of the wealthiest people on the planet yet 1/5 of live above there means and nearly 40% live paycheck to paycheck. This is happening because many of us spend too much time looking at others are not running the race that God has for us.

The first step to financial peace with finances is to understand that everything comes from God. Because everything comes from God, we need to understand that he has a unique journey for us to walk, partnering with his wisdom. As we do this we will learn important principles. To be content with what he provides us with. How to honor and recognize his provision through giving and how to leverage margin to grow in financial stability.

Intro

At Freedom Life we believe the two most important things we do as people, are grow closer to God and love people better. This is not a destination but the journey.

During Connect – Launch we will discover the life transformation of being a part of a community, discovering your purpose and finding financial freedom.

Purpose

Purpose is discovered with the combination of passion, talent and impact.  In Ephesians, we see that God has prepared in advance good works for us to complete. You were crafted with a purpose! God isn’t passing you the leftover blessings that someone else didn’t want. He’s had marvelous plans set aside for you since the beginning. You have a unique calling on your life. To fully live out your purpose, you need to find a healthy combination of passion talent and impact. Passion and talent without impact is a hobby. Passion without talent can never have positive impact.  Talent and impact without passion is heartbreaking. Together we are going to find out how your greatest passions and talents can come together to have a kingdom impact. And that is your purpose.

Let’s look at your personality profile, your spiritual gift test, in combination with some of the areas that you are passionate about. (Sometimes the things that upset you are a key into discovering your greatest passions) and what you’ve been told in the past are your greatest talents. This is the start of discovering your purpose.

Percentage Living and Giving

Once we Establish that we’re going to live within the boundaries that Christ has given us. We need to start looking at what we have and where it needs to go. One of the ways we can do this is by breaking up our income into categories that we allocate healthy percentages to.  This may look like this.

Giving 5-10%
Margin 5-10%
Mortgage/rent 25%
Food 10-15%
Utilities 5-10%
Transportation 10%
Health 5-10%
Insurances 10-20%
Recreation 5-10%
Personal Spending 5-10%

If you look at scripture in the new Testament you can see that those who had means regularly gave more to support those who didn’t. Those with a larger income will need to spend smaller percentages I’m certain things and those who bring in less. So those who are blessed, are blessed to be more of a blessing. These percentages are a guideline but our goal in understanding that everything comes from God is to grow in a way that allows us to serve his people the most.

We would encourage you outside this meeting to sit down with your spouse if you have one and divide your income to closely match these percentages. Giving is the first item on this list because we believe when you recognize that everything comes from God the first thing that you want to do is give as a recognition of that fact.

The key to living and giving in percentages is to be consistent. We would encourage you to spend some time setting up your budget and being faithful to stick to it and to give for six months. We guarantee at the end of those three months you will have a drastically different attitude and experience with finances.

Leveraging Margin

Once we decide to live within the boundaries God has placed in our lives. And we start to be generous living and giving with a percentage mindset. That allows us to start creating market within our lives.
You would’ve seen in the percentage graph that we gave you that margin should account for 5 to 10% of your budget. Margin lives itself out in three ways:

Saving
Debt reduction
Investment

Saving
Unexpected things happen all the time. Cars breakdown and medical expenses come up. One way to make these situations are less stressful is to create a healthy savings account that can be used to pay for these things.

Debt reduction
When we owe someone else money, they “own” us.  We want to be fully owned by Christ so when we create margin, we are able to reverse the effects of debt and become more fully God’s

Investment
One of the ways that God helps us grow in our finances in a stable way is to help us become less reliant on our salary. Once we have a healthy savings account and have eliminated it from our lives our marriage and can then be used to create additional income.

All of these principles are from God to help us become more fully his, financially free and able to serve others.  This isn’t a get rich quick scheme, nor do these principles only work for Christians. Our hope for you is that you would allow God to be your source, guidance and inspiration so you can experience financial freedom and use that freedom to serve others.

Connect – Launch is all about practical steps that you can take based on God’s principles that describes who we are as a church. We are here to support you in anyway. This is not the end of connect but the start of our connection together. We are partnering with you from here, if you have any questions, concerns or need help implementing anything, please reach out and allow us to serve you as you become everything God has created you to be.
